The Mission of EUUC Outreach is centered on enriching Emerson’s membership and promoting Emerson as a UU congregation through meaningful engagement and collaboration. Outreach activities aim to enhance the EUUC community and build relationships with and encourage EUUC’s presence with stakeholders and community partners, including secular & faith-based organizations, businesses, cultural organizations, our West Valley neighbors, other UU congregations and affiliations, and the larger community. EUUC Outreach demonstrates UU Shared Values in our engagements and relationships.

Volunteer for an EUUC Outreach project – we welcome your time and talent! Outreach projects are short-term volunteer-run activities:

Examples of past projects include organizing EUUC’s participation in the 2024 SFV Pride March, teaming up with an EUUC’s Environmental Justice Ministry to help get the word out about EJM Climate Justice Revival event, working with the Worship Associates and Rev. Chloe to incorporate announcements in the worship service, and developing congregational outreach opportunities, such as EUUC’s Visualize and Thrive event.

Projects for the future include tabling for EUUC at community events (such as the Canoga Park Día de los Muertos Family Festival), partnering for an event curated by an outside organization, and developing a fun outreach campaign focused on getting to know our West Valley community.

You can volunteer to participate in an EUUC Outreach coordinated collaborative committee to work on an outreach project through from development to completion. Or, you can offer any time you have to a project.

For each outreach project, the EUUC Outreach Coordinator will send out an email sign-up. If you are interested in volunteering for that particular project, you just sign up! The Outreach Coordinator will follow up with details!
